Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) congratulates the 8,500 qualifiers of the 2026 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship.

This year, 97,617 applicants took the qualifying examination on February 21 and 22, and March 7 and 8, across 222 testing centers nationwide. This marks the highest number of examinees in the history of one of the country’s most competitive scholarship programs.

For Fiscal Year 2026, DOST-SEI has been allocated a budget of ₱7.6 billion. This budget allows the Institute to accommodate up to 8,500 qualifiers. Of this number, 5,100 will be part of the RA 7687 Scholarship Program, while 3,400 under the Merit Scholarship Program.

The published list contains 8,108 names. It does not include the 392 potential qualifiers, who have documents pending resubmission for further evaluation and confirmation. Moreover, it does not include qualifiers based in Saudi Arabia, who will be taking the qualifying examination at the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila (TUPM) on 31 May 2026.

DOST-SEI and DOST Regional Offices will contact all qualifiers regarding the Notice of Award, scholarship orientation, and other important instructions. Potential qualifiers, or those who need to submit documents for revalidation, will also be notified.
